LightenMD ("LightenMD," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to lightenmd.com and related services (the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, sex, state of residence, height, weight, and health history you submit through our qualification quiz, intake forms, or communications with us.

Health information: when you participate in the LightenMD program, information about your health history, medications, and treatment may be collected by, and shared with, the independent licensed medical providers and licensed pharmacies that deliver clinical services. Health information handled by providers and pharmacies is subject to applicable health-privacy laws, including HIPAA where those entities are covered entities.

Automatically collected: device information, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar analytics data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Payment information: payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

2. How We Use Information

  • To determine initial program eligibility and connect you with independent licensed providers
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Services
  • To communicate with you about your account, program, and updates you request
  • To send marketing communications you have opted into (opt out anytime)
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues

3. How We Share Information

  • Medical providers and pharmacies: with the independent licensed providers and licensed partner pharmacies involved in your care, so they can evaluate, treat, and serve you.
  • Service providers: vendors that support our operations (hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processing) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your health information.

4. Health Information Safeguards

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal and health information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor agreements. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information consistent with industry standards and applicable law.
