LightenMD's Role

LightenMD provides non-clinical program support and technology that helps connect eligible adults with independent licensed medical providers and licensed pharmacies. LightenMD is not a medical practice or pharmacy and does not prescribe or dispense medication.

The independent medical provider is responsible for clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment decisions, prescribing, follow-up care, and determining whether telehealth or any medication is appropriate for an individual patient.

The Pharmacy Hub states that it is licensed nationwide and may coordinate dispensing through affiliated pharmacy partners. The pharmacy that fulfills a specific prescription and the treatment options available may vary by state and applicable law.

Compounded medication, when prescribed, is prepared by a state-licensed compounding pharmacy operating under Section 503A. A prescription or any specific treatment is not guaranteed.

Service Availability

Services are available only in jurisdictions where affiliated medical providers are licensed to practice and where pharmacy partners are authorized to dispense medications. Availability may vary by state and is subject to applicable laws, regulations, and licensure requirements.
