LightenMD's Role

LightenMD provides non-clinical program support and technology that helps connect eligible adults with independent licensed medical providers and licensed pharmacies. LightenMD is not a medical practice or pharmacy and does not prescribe or dispense medication.

Independent Clinical Provider

The independent medical provider is responsible for clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment decisions, prescribing, follow-up care, and determining whether telehealth or any medication is appropriate for an individual patient.

Pharmacy Fulfillment

When medication is prescribed, LightenMD's current product routing is configured for fulfillment through VialsRX, a licensed compounding pharmacy participating in the Bask pharmacy network. The dispensing pharmacy identified on a patient's prescription label and order materials is the authoritative pharmacy for that prescription.

Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and FDA does not review their safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. If a compounded medication is prescribed, it must be patient-specific, clinically appropriate, prepared by an appropriately licensed pharmacy, and permitted by applicable law. A prescription or any specific treatment is not guaranteed.

Service Availability

DC Northern Holdings LLC, doing business as LightenMD, currently offers the LightenMD program to eligible adult residents of all 50 U.S. states:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

The current published service area does not include the District of Columbia or U.S. territories. Within the listed states, treatment remains subject to identity and location verification, completion of the required intake, an independent provider's clinical judgment, applicable prescribing requirements, and lawful pharmacy fulfillment. Completing an assessment does not guarantee a consultation, prescription, medication, or particular treatment.
